Terms of use

Welcome to Learning and Development Hub (“L&D Hub”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, platform, applications, and all related services (collectively, the “Services”). Please read these Terms carefully.

By accessing or using our Services, or by clicking “I accept” when prompted, you agree to be bound by these Terms, including our Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy. If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact us at info@ldhub.org.uk.

  1. Eligibility and Account Responsibility

You may use our Services only if you are able to enter into a legally binding contract under applicable law and only in compliance with these Terms. When creating an account, you must provide accurate and up-to-date information and update it as necessary.

Accounts for individuals under 16 years of age must be created and managed by a parent, guardian, teacher, or employer.

  1. Our Licence to You

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable licence to access and use our Services. You may not reproduce, distribute, or exploit any content unless we give written permission.

You agree to only create and use one user account unless expressly authorised by us. Sharing login details with others is strictly prohibited.

  1. Service Use and Content

Content Offerings: We provide online and blended learning materials and resources. While we aim for consistency, we may modify, update, or withdraw content without notice. This may include changing quiz formats, modules, or assessment weightings.

Academic Credit: Unless explicitly stated, completing training on L&D Hub does not equate to receiving formal academic credit or qualifications recognised by educational institutions or licensing bodies.

Relationship Disclaimer: Participation in L&D Hub training does not constitute enrolment with any third-party training provider, university, or accrediting body unless otherwise stated.

  1. User-Generated Content

Ownership: You retain ownership of content you submit (e.g., assignments, forum posts, feedback). However, by submitting content, you grant L&D Hub a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, distribute, modify, display, and create derivative works for operational, research, or promotional purposes.

Feedback: We appreciate user feedback. By submitting suggestions or ideas, you grant us permission to use them freely without compensation or credit.

  1. Payment and Refunds

Payment Terms: All fees must be paid upfront unless an agreement with 30-day terms has been made in writing. Split or recurring payments will incur a £50 monthly admin fee. Each invoice must be a minimum of £1,000+VAT. If it’s lower, a per-credit rate will be applied, along with the admin fee.

Late payments will result in the full list price being applied and interest of 8% plus the Bank of England base rate may be charged. External debt recovery costs may also be applied.

Directors are personally liable for outstanding balances.

Refunds: Refunds are at our discretion and only granted if no part of the product has been accessed or used.

  1. Security

We take security seriously but cannot guarantee complete protection against unauthorised access. Please notify us immediately of any suspicious activity by emailing info@ldhub.org.uk.

  1. Third-Party Content and Services

You may encounter external links, services, or content on our Site. We are not responsible for any third-party content or functionality and disclaim any liability arising from your use of such resources.

  1. Copyright and Trademark

L&D Hub respects intellectual property rights. If you believe your content has been used improperly, please contact us. We reserve the right to remove content that violates copyright or trademark laws.

  1. Research and Insights

Participation data (e.g. quiz scores, completion rates) may be used anonymously for educational research, service improvement, or reporting purposes. Your personal identity will not be disclosed without explicit consent.

  1. Paid Services and Professional Recognition

We offer paid services such as certificates, downloadable reports, and bundled training access. Pricing and availability may vary.

Completion of an L&D Hub course does not guarantee certification, qualification, or licensure unless explicitly stated. You are responsible for ensuring our services align with any professional requirements in your jurisdiction.

  1. Service Changes and Termination

We may modify or discontinue our Services at any time, without liability. Your access may be suspended or terminated if you breach these Terms. You can stop using our Services at any time.

  1. Account Deletion and Inactivity

Free business accounts will be archived after 75 days of inactivity.

Paid accounts will be archived 120 days after inactivity or subscription expiry.

Learner accounts with unused credits or free training will be retained but switched to individual mode.

Archived accounts can be reactivated by logging back in.

  1. Disclaimers

Our Services are provided “as is” with no warranties, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that learning outcomes, professional success, or job placement will result from using our Services.

  1. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including data loss, revenue loss, or service interruption. Our total liability is limited to £20 or the amount paid for services over the past six months — whichever is greater.

  1. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Legal disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of English courts.

  1. Arbitration and Class Action Waiver

In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to resolve it through binding arbitration rather than in court. You waive the right to participate in class actions or representative lawsuits. This does not affect your right to bring qualifying claims to a small claims court or seek regulatory assistance where applicable.

  1. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless L&D Hub from any claims, losses, or legal actions arising from your misuse of the Services, violation of these Terms, or infringement on third-party rights.

  1. General Terms

Changes to These Terms: We may update these Terms periodically. Changes are effective immediately upon posting. You will be notified of significant updates via the website or email.

Severability and Waiver: If any provision is unenforceable, it will not affect the remainder of the Terms. Failure to enforce a provision does not waive our right to enforce it in future.

Third-Party Beneficiaries: Our content and service providers may enforce the terms applicable to them.
